 On Friday, October 14, the North Dakota State University sports department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Nodak Insurance Company Football Performance Complex on campus to officially showcase its most significant facilities update to date.

The $54 million building project's entire cost was covered by private sources, including a lead contribution from Nodak Insurance Company, to whom naming rights were granted.

The first phase of the project, which was completed, comprised building a second outdoor artificial turf practise field and a full-size indoor practise facility. A football locker room, a team meeting space, areas for physical training and equipment, and more will be part of the second phase.

According to NDSU president Dr. David Cook, "We're incredibly grateful for this gift - and for the contributions and generosity of all of you - for what it does for this facility, what it does for the institution, but ultimately what it is going to do for generations of student-athletes who are going to continue to excel moving forward because of these gifts.

With the practise field, operations building, and storage warehouse included, the complex will have a total floor area of more than 117,000 square feet. In the end, it will have a raised space for recruiting visits and visitors, a fueling station, a weight facility, and retractable nets for different sports.

For a smooth transition during team sessions, seven overhead doors open from the indoor facility onto the outdoor practise field. On both fields, there are also play clocks, scoreboards, and LED lighting systems.

Director of Athletics at NDSU Matt Larsen remarked, "I think of the impact this facility will have on (our student-athletes') training, their development, and their overall ability to be successful at NDSU." "I consider how this facility will affect Bison Athletics in the future. In Division I athletics, there aren't many complexes that can compete with the Nodak Insurance Company Football Performance Complex."

According to Jim Alexander, president and CEO of Nodak Insurance Company, "this structure with the name of Nodak Insurance Company on the side will remain here beyond many of our lifetimes, providing coaches and athletes with the year-round opportunity to flourish at their craft." It will give our board, our agents and staff, the neighbourhood, and the state great pride.

Local firms Foss Architects and Interiors of Fargo and Crawford Architects of Kansas City worked together to create the complex.

In the last ten years, NDSU has added new competition facilities to its campus for basketball, wrestling, softball, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field. In addition, the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse and Dacotah Field have undergone significant facility improvements for volleyball and soccer, respectively. The Nodak Insurance Company Basketball Performance Center, the golf indoor short game facility, the state-of-the-art strength & conditioning and sports medicine facilities in the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, which debuted in 2016, are other brand-new training facilities.

The renovation of NDSU's sporting facilities has cost $110 million in total over the previous ten years.

The Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex, NDSU's new indoor practise facility, is slated to debut in the fall of 2022. The anticipated $50 million construction project's whole cost is being covered by private sources, including a lead contribution from Nodak Insurance Company, to whom naming rights were granted.

The Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex, a state-of-the-art training facility for the national champion NDSU football team, will have space for other weather-dependent programmes including women's soccer, men's and women'sMen's and women's track and field, golf, baseball, and softball.

The current practise grounds south of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex will be replaced by two artificial turf fields, one indoor and one outdoor. There will be a full field inside.

Insurance Company Football Performance Complex:

Construction of the indoor practise facility and outdoor field, which will take the place of the Dacotah Field Bubble, was part of the project's initial phase. The second phase will contain a football locker room, team meeting room, athletic training room, and equipment room, made possible by a $15 million donation from the WE B Giving Foundation.

With the practise field, operations building, and storage warehouse included, the indoor facility will have a total floor area of more than 117,000 square feet. A retractable netting system to accommodate various sports will be available, as will camera decks on all sides, an elevated observation area for recruits and guests, a weight room, and a fuelling station.
